How to Auto-Widen Columns in Jet Report

When loading data into your worksheet, it's common to encounter data values of different lengths such as customer names, descriptions, and dates. If the columns are not wide enough to accommodate the data, Excel may display it in a truncated form, or worse, as a series of pound (#) signs.

To address this issue, Jet Report offers an "Auto Widening" feature that automatically adjusts the column width based on the longest value in the column. Here's how to use it:

1. In the cells that display truncated or hashed data, enter the word "Fit" in row 1 of the corresponding column

2. When you run your report, Jet Report will automatically adjust the column width to fit the longest value in the column. For example, if you have a list of customer names, entering "Fit" in the cells will resize the column to fit the longest customer name. The same goes for the date column.

With Auto Widening, your report will look cleaner and more professional. No more pesky truncated values or hashed cells! Give it a try and see the difference it makes.
