A case study about the implementation of Microsoft Business Central, a Cloud Accounting / ERP software solution. RAICO's Previous Solution Specialising in the design, supply and installation of electrical mechanical, and firefighting systems, RAICO has an impressive portfolio of building service works on the island. Prior to implementing Business Central, the company was using Excel which had worked until it didn’t. Being very prone to human error it came to be a limiting factor to the company’s growth. Scalability was a salient concern, for instance when one person leaves the role, hand over is much more difficult with Excel than having something that is based on an ERP solution. When using Excel a thorough explanation of how it works, formulae used and how numbers came to be, needs to be carried out. A system based on an ERP solution facilitates continuation and reduces the possibility of dependency on a particular user since there’s more clarity within the process. FactBox is a quick summarize of related information to the main document. It is situated on the right side of the screen. In order to add this FactBox, click on the blue info icon on the right side of the screen. On the right side of the screen appears the FactBox To add or remove information from the FactBox click on Settings on the upper right corner of the screen, then click on Personalize . A window will show that you’re personalizing the current purchase invoice. Click on More to be able to add fields to FactBox tables. For example, if you wish to add Created Date-Times of Incoming Document Files, click on the Incoming Document Files table, then on the + Field button on the top, and drag the Created Date-Time box into the Incoming Document Files table. If you wish to remove, for example, the Type of Incoming Document Files, hover over the Type column inside the table, click on the arrow that appears right beside it, and click Remove . It works the same way for the rest of FactBoxes. When you Customize FactBox in one Purchase invoice it will work also for all the rest of Invoices.
